Reflecting on vision writing, in Daniel and 1 Chronicles we studied on the correlation of prayer and vision writing which leads to instruction from the Lord and God. The ending question was are our morals and values system in order with the word? The Lord God had given the Israelites detailed instruction to cleanse the city from sin so that Jeremiah’s prophecy could be fulfilled. Once we are given instruction God will also send the resources and that includes people; therefore the high priest Onias 111 was appointed at that time and eventually he was executed . In our walk of faith “reconstruction” starts with us first in becoming more like the image of God, “God created mankind in his image male and female *he created them God blessed them and God said be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and sudue it* Have dominion over fish over sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that crawl on the earth” (New American Bible Revised, Gn 1:27-28). Therefore, all the resources we need for our vision has been predestined since the beginning. Once you have entered into the relationship in seeking God then you have the authority to possess whatever you were given from divine instruction. Instruction on becoming an ethical person and maintaining that is sometimes can be imbroglios because we yearn with passion for our vision that we become willing to compromise our morals. Planning, implementing is only half of the job, maintaining that ethical demeanor is one that the human flesh sometimes falter. Ethics are rules and standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession. We are going to look at Matthew 5 to ensure that our moral conduct is the foundation in building our vision because what is in me should be manifest in the spectrum of light in which Christ has also commanded us to be in darkness. Christ taught at the Sermon on the Mount taught wisdom for accessing wisdom from the kingdom heaven, if we become more God reliant then righteousness is ours also and we have a gold card to knowledge.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they are shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you[ falsely] because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (New American Bible Revised, Mt 5: 3-12).
First know that everyone is not going to celebrate your success and that means that I still have to maintain my righteousness especially in ministry and press on ethically of course. We have prayed, been given instruction, this is illustrated in Matthew 4: 14, that what had been said through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: Land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has risen.” From that time on Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (New American Bible Revised). For all those who have a ministry vision you have been called as many of the prophets have walked, endured and have been persecuted when we face adversity don’t give up on God for God does not give up on you. This is what prophet Habakkuk’s call was to enlighten the world on injustice. As advocates for change in ministry we see the unjust or unrighteousness which perpetuates us to want to empower others and God uses Habakkuk to directs us on vision writing “I will stand on my guard and set myself on the tower, and watch to see what I shall return on my rebuke. And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision, and engrave it on the tablets, that he who reads it may run. For the vision is for the appointed time, but it does not lie. Though it delays wait for it, because it will surely come . It will not tarry” (The Interlinear Bible, Hb 2: 1-3). Leaving sin is hard for we know that our first family sinned and we are born into sin; however, if we are to mature then we must let go of our sinful ways and then just as the Beatitudes experienced we can access the kingdom of heaven. Am I on the path of righteousness?
