Essentials of Praying

Welcome

Prayer is essential just as the air that we need to breath everyday. We have been focusing on Vision, one of the most vital actions in fulfilling our vision is prayer.  In Daniel chapter nine we actually see how when we pray we are given instruction to began building or rebuilding our vision.  We will also see how prayer creates a reliance that establishes a relationship with the LORD GOD. “I turned to the Lord God, to seek help, in prayer and petition, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes” (New American Revised Bible, Dn 9:3), here we see that we can go before the throne in prayer  even with a vision  just as the Israelite’ s had forgotten what the Lord had done for then once they left Egypt,  they began to petition the Lord and the Lord directly spoke the vision saying, “Seventy weeks* are decreed for your people and for your holy city:  Then transgression will stop and sin will end, guilt will be exiapated, Everlasting justice will be introduced, vision and prophecy ratified, and a holy of  holies will be anointed.  Know and understand:  From the utterance of the word that Jerusalem was to be rebuilt * Until there is an anointed ruler, there shall be seven weeks.  In the course  of sixty-two weeks it shalt be rebuilt, with squares and trenches, in time  of affliction.  After sixty-two weeks an anointed one* shall be cut down with no one to help him.  And the people of a leader who will come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.  His end shall come in a flood; until the end of  the war, which is decreed, there will be desolation.  For one week* he shall make a firm covenant with the many; Half the week he shall be the desolating abomination until the ruin that is decreed is poured out upon the desolator” (New American Revised Bible, Dn 9: 24-27). God’s instruction first here was to end the sin filled city and he did this using his prophets, high priest and mediators.  Aaron and Moses were the holies of holies just as the tabernacle in Jerusalem 1 Chronicles 23:13, ” the sons of Amram were Aaron and Moses.  Aaron was set apart to be consecrated as most holy, he and his sons forever, to offer sacrifice before the LORD, to minister to him, and to bless in his name forever” (New American Revised Bible). God will provide not only instruction but the most anointed individuals to provide the services you need to fulfill your vision. Let’s seek God about our vision but first let’s introspect our morals and values system.
