Loves Lighthouse Prayer Ministries Third Year Anniversary September 13, 2017

Welcome,

Three years ago Loves Lighthouse Prayer Ministries, Inc., began in Decatur, Georgia on September 13, 2014.  We honor God and our Lords Jesus Christ for bringing our vision of prosperity physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually into manifestation.  We believe in what the prophet Habakkuk spoke in chapter 2. 1-3, “I will stand on my guard, and set myself on the tower, and watch to see what He will say against me, and what I shall return on my rebuke.  Jehovah answered and said. Write the vision, and engrave it on the tablets, that he reads it may run.  For the vision is for the appointed time, but it does not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, because it will surely come:  it will not tarry.”  We have over came many challenges that were set in our paths, but it has truly been an amazing journey.  We have the capacity to serve the aging and youth population at first in three states and now in all fifty states. Initially, it was just one Director which now we have Board four members, Vanita Overby, James Corey, Timia Overby and Danielle Overby.

We relocated from Georgia and now operate out of Newport News, VA. and at first even began as a Concession here which is still operating as Business Loves Oils located at Fort Eustis/ Langley Air Force Base which finances some of the charitable events.  We applaud our military service members and family members for allowing us to have the highest grade of Essential Oils available to them. Our organization currently in this past year have served hundreds of pounds of food to our Senior community located in Hampton and mentored youth violence prevention to over a hundred youth in Newport News, VA, and Hampton, VA.  We currently are still mentoring and providing a scholarship to our youth for college who achieve academically and become leaders.  In fact, our youth will be touring Hampton University and attend college football game this month and that would not be possible without our donors like you.

Our donors are companies and individuals who have made us thrive, so far.  Our donors, Food Lion who have not just donated, but took the time out to actually interact with our elderly clients.  The Hampton Health District has also been very beneficial to educating our elderly on the importance of Hypertension Screening.  Wal- Mart has donated educational supplies for our you, so they can have internet access and entertainment while participating in our youth violence prevention program. Target Security Program supports our Youth violence program by providing positive reinforcement through gift cards for youth who attend our program.  Both Newport News and Hampton City Parks and Recreation have provided safe places to hold our teen events and we are truly grateful.  Fresh Market and Papa Johns also have donated nutritional snacks for these events and for that we are grateful and hope to continue in our relationships in reducing crime in our communities.

Coming from nothing as my son and I stood in DeKalb County on the side of the road was a result of our faithfulness which symbolic we have  story of  Hannah and Penninah of the rich and the poor with God showing favor to Hannah.

Pagan Gods in this day

Welcome,

In our communities today the secular and religious communities are affected and stifling their spiritual growth as one has a false but real to them sense of power and the followers are being bamboozled. in this century we see some of the promises fulfilled in the government as we know that God is a just God but the evil one is deceptive. This morning I was given a revelation as the website has provided many warnings to our business and ministries on our spiritual foundation in the last two years of sexual provision and sexual immorality.  Those warnings were from the heavenly Lord, King Jesus himself.  Look at the violence and sexual sin that occurs in our retail businesses, how our members of society are bombarded by so many negative messages from racial slurs, profiling, discriminative, degrading vices of evil powers in entities that we have come accustom to and even pay our hard earned wages for their goods.  Punishing gods even soliciting the God to resort to the same measures.  Violence, Pickett lines law enforcement officers’ families affected what have we done? Since the Lord’s first warning given to me on October 13, 2014 we have all had to turn a deaf ear and looked the other way to get to this point.  In Acts chapter 17 the Apostle Paul in Apollonia is having a discussion for three consecutive Sabbaths about the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Messiah and to prove God’s omnipotence because the Lord did not resurrect himself.  My question for you is what idol have you chosen to take place or caused a distraction away from the Messiah and God?  Drive with an intentional assignment of people watching and notice the racy and fear on their faces perhaps mostly the religious community then look at the hate and greed that still crucifies Jesus.  Not only Jesus but  his sheep too which is all of human mankind.  Women held captive, some Christian tormented and killed more now than ever. The conversation would to have had to been evoked by an appearance from the Messiah mysteriously is what would have made them want to make a Jesus we find in these scriptures, ” expounding and demonstrating that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead, and that.  This is the Messiah, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you.” Some of them were convinced and joined Paul and Silas; so, too, a great number Greeks who were worshippers, a  few prominent women.  But the Jews became jealous and recruited some worthless men loitering in the public square, formed a mob, and set the city in turmoil.  They marched on the house of Jason, intending to bring them before the people’s assembly.  When they could not find them.  They dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city magistrates, shouting, “These people  who have been creating a disturbance all over the world have now come here, and Jason has welcomed them.  They all act in opposition to the decrees of Caesar and claim instead  that there is another king, Jesus (Acts 17. 3-7).”  These conversations sent a inquisitiveness throughout Thessalonica.  Make sure that our conversations are persuasive for others to become more ethical in their decision making.  I have been tempted just like others and have not yield and it is because first my love for God and the Lord, building the spiritual man/ woman equips us for the tests.  Note the fore a mentioned that the Jews were not easily persuaded but because of Paul’s debates in the synagogues in which you can further read eventually many did come to believe. That belief can be applicable for those who may have absolute way of thinking or an unacceptable ethic base to change.  The teachings of the Gospel teaches us that we can use these very same principles in our everyday living.  I want you to know that you can change from your evil ways. Historically Theodicy is plainly seen here in the Acts 17 passage, which is described as commotion. This passage offers to see how others began to want to prove other religions; however, the word of God and the teaching of Jesus prevails.

Stop Bullying Prevention Presentation

Welcome,

In light of the current violence in the United States with attacks on our Law Enforcement Officers.  We at CHOSEN are taking action in our community by hosting a Stop Bullying Prevention Presentation with our local Public School today.  I would like for our viewers to take a moment to think what actions I can take to bring peace in our neighborhoods.

Honoring our Fallen Officers

Loves Lighthouse Prayer Ministries, Inc  (CHOSEN) have an Youth Violence Prevention Department, we would like to express our sympathy to families who have lost loved ones to violence and most recently our Dallas Police Officers.  Fighting violence and reducing crime has a lot risks associated with that job position and sadly for those spouses, children and other family members we have lost five Dallas Police Officers.  We here would like to honor those Officers and their family members. In those quiet moments once the adrenaline ceases and the company leaves and the phone is ringing less and less, we grant you peace and the assurance that if you trust in Him no matter what you feel your petitions will be granted.  “Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your request known to God, Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phil4.6-7).”

My opening statement after defining violence is always “you should never have to be in an situation involving police intervention, if you can help and there are some instances  where their presence is necessary,” however, that is not always the case.  America now needs to go back to thinking and feeling that Police Officers are for our safety just as the laws that we create are for them to enforce and that is my hope for our country today.  As American are gathering I believe that it is for the honoring remembrance of each respective Officer and their family members.  I am dedicated to imparting violence prevention in our youth so that they will know how diffuse violence before it escalates and how to approach an Officer. I really enjoy my Youth Department and to see how at my first violence prevention how some of the young African-American boys were afraid or had many questions about approaching officer lets us know we have a lot of room for improvement it is our citizen duty to act respectfully and honor the badge.  I also believe that we are so racially segregated for to be in the 21st Century that we need to love our neighbor no matter what race they are.   After all of the blood shed for racial equality I am one that believe in our Constitutional rights but I also believe I need to have the right for a trial in the Sixth Amendment.  I believe that a person is not guilty until tried.  As I just heard a young person saying my being, ” angry  does not solve anything. ”    I know this is a difficult time and we as Christians have an obligation to those families as the word says, ”  Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this:  to care for orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world. (Jas 1.27).”  We here love you and are here, contact us if you need us.

Who is judging on the road to destiny?

Welcome,

The human nature has been shaped by the historical and psychological context of the world; however, God first is the ultimate judge.  Self-criticisms or condemnation is a destructive force; however, constructive criticism is way to show a need for improvement.  How do I avoid self-criticism especially when we have feelings of failure do we blame ourselves or perhaps God?  “But it is not that the word of God has failed.  For not all who are Israel, nor are they all children of Abraham because they are his descendants (Rm. 9. 6-8).”  The story here is symbolic to promise waiting and while waiting promise from God in Genesis 15 when in a vision Abram is told not to fear, “Some time afterward , the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:  Do not fear, Abram! I am your shield; I will ,make your reward very great (Gen 15. 1.).”  This story exemplifies two spiritual principles, patience and faith in which we see in Romans 9.  Waiting on the promise can be frustrating and cause disbelief just as the Israelites had become.  The promise is given by God first in the Old Testament and even in the New Testament to show how the journey in between time is relevant in our part of the covenant. In verse 9 “”About this time I shall return and Sarah will have a son  (Rm. 9.9).”” We see God’s judgment in the story of Abraham’s son’s by two wives in which he loved one more than the other shows his nature yet both sons had promise.  “As it is written:  “I loved Jacob but hated Esau.” What then are we to say ?  Is there injustice on the part of God?  Of course not! For he says to Moses:  “I will take pity on whom I will.”  So it depends not upon a person’s will or exertion, but upon God, who shows mercy (Rm. 9. 13-16).  Today I have called you blessed, there is no condemnation through Jesus.  The flawed or those who are sinfully can be transformed by the holy spirit.  In Romans 9 there is debatable conversation on questioning God based past or priori knowledge because of the Exodus that arbitrary rule is what they were used  but God’s  mercy is shown here because, “Why have you created me so?” Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for a noble purpose and another for ignoble one?  This verse means even if you do not realize that you have purpose or feel that you possess purpose or nobility then realize God still made you who is the judge and this shows his patience for those who may struggle with self-defeating behaviors or low self-esteem.  In the latter half of the chapter “As indeed he says in Hosea:  “Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people.’  and her who was not beloved  I will call ‘beloved.’  And in the very place where it was said to them. ‘You are not people,’  there they shall be called children of the living God (Rm. 9. 21-26).”  Notice God is living, it is only rationale thinking that God knows our faults, so don’t give up.  Be blessed today

  Thank -you!
